This page helps you use Property Search tools in Nacogdoches County, Texas, and shows where to go when you need appraisal details, map access, or recorded real property records.
For most parcel and appraisal lookups, the main starting point is the Nacogdoches CAD Property Search. If you need a deed, recorded instrument, or document number search instead, the County Clerk’s official records system is the better fit.

- Enter only the fields you know and run the search.
- If you get too many results, use Advanced Search and add another field to narrow the list.
- If you get no results, simplify the entry and try again with fewer words.
Important: the site says displayed values are 2026 preliminary values and may change before certification.
Search tips and result limits
Address searches work best when you keep the entry simple. The help page says you can try just the street name, the street name with numbers, or leave out the street type such as Road, Drive, or Lane.
Name searches also work better with simpler entries. You can try a full name first, then use only the first name or last name if needed. For business property, use Advanced Search and enter the name in the Doing Business As field.
Search results can be saved from the results page. The site says you can download a CSV file or email the results from the search results page or from the property details page.
Map and taxpayer tools
If you already have a Property ID, you can also use the map for a parcel view. Open the NACOCAD Interactive Map and enter the Property ID in the search bar.
The map is for informational and tax use only. It is not a survey and shows approximate property boundary locations.
The map does not include every property type. The help page says personal property, mineral property, and mobile home property may not appear there.
If you want account access, document review, or electronic communication options, use the Taxpayer Portal.
When you need recorded property documents
The appraisal search is useful for valuation and account details, but recorded real property documents are handled through the County Clerk system. Use the official record search for grantor or grantee names, subdivisions, document types, document numbers, and recorded date ranges.
You can search the official records index only, or search index and full text OCR. The site also says the online database does not replace the official repository and may not reflect the complete or unaltered contents of the official real property records.
