JeffNet is the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court’s browser-based service for property, civil, criminal, and other public records maintained by the Clerk’s Office. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during periodic website maintenance.

JeffNet includes a 24-hour access option for users who do not need a monthly subscription. That option provides access to online records and images for 24 hours and allows PDF downloads of Clerk of Court documents.

E-filing and filing limits
E-filing is available for civil and criminal records in the 24th Judicial District Court, First Parish Court, and Second Parish Court. The 24-hour account allows court e-filing in those courts, but it does not include e-recording services.
Monthly JeffNet subscribers may use court e-filing services for civil and criminal matters and may use mortgage and conveyance e-recording. E-recording is available to monthly subscribers only.
Civil and criminal fax filing ended January 1, 2026. Attorney filings must be filed in person in paper form or transmitted electronically through JeffNet. Non-attorneys may file by mail, commercial courier, in person, or through JeffNet.
24th Judicial District Court public records requests
Requests for records in the custody of the 24th Judicial District Court must be made in writing to the Judicial Administrator. Requests for records in the custody of the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court must be sent to the Chief Deputy Clerk.
Court staff search, retrieve, and review specified records. The requester is informed of the request status within three days of receipt.
If you want a cost estimate, state that in the request. Copies are not made until written confirmation is provided. If written confirmation or payment is not received within 10 business days after fee notice, a new request may be required.
Viewing public records in the Court’s custody is free during normal business hours when the request is only to view the records. An appointment is scheduled at a convenient date and time for the Court and the requester.
