Circuit Court Clerk Public Information Application

Use the Circuit Court Clerk case search to look up DuPage County case information. The search page is set up for traffic tickets, complaint numbers, case numbers, and name-based searches.

• Ticket or complaint number and arresting agency, when searching by ticket or complaint.
• Case number, when searching by court case number.
• Full last name, first name, middle name, birth date, and search type for a name search.
• Person or organization search type, when using the case name option.

After choosing the search type that matches the information you have, use the results to review case status, the next court date, docket entries, or traffic case update registration options.

Check the spelling and number format carefully. Case searches depend on the information entered, especially complaint numbers, case numbers, and full names.

Traffic tickets, payments, and court supervision

The Circuit Court Clerk Public Information Application also provides payment and traffic case services. Users can pay a traffic ticket, pay a civil law violation, pay part or all of a balance due, change an address on a case, and search for a case.

Before paying online, review the traffic payment instructions. Some cases require a court appearance and cannot be paid through the site unless fines and costs have been set by court order.

If a search result displays “must appear” in red, the case is not eligible for online payment through that service unless the court has set the fines and costs. For eligible traffic matters, the site allows a guilty plea with a request for court supervision during payment.

Online payment must be received at least three business days before the court date. A traffic ticket may not be available on the website for 7 to 10 days from the date it was issued. Payment confirmation is sent by email to the address provided during the transaction.

Text and email court date reminders

DuPage County users can register for text or email court date reminders through the Circuit Clerk’s online case tools. The reminder search accepts the same general case lookup paths: ticket or complaint number, case number, or case name.

Court date availability and remote court proceedings

The Circuit Court Clerk provides a Court Date Availability Calendar for scheduling-related searches. Users can enter a case number or select a courtroom and case type, then choose a reason for the date such as a motion or return date.

The Court Date Availability Calendar can show case title, next court date, location, and case type when available.

For remote proceedings, the 18th Judicial Circuit provides Zoom access through a courtroom schedule or case number search. The remote court page also warns that the Court and Clerk will not direct people to submit payments through services such as Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle.
