Search results and custody updates

Information shown for arrested or in-custody people reflects the most recent information known to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Details may change as a person moves through the court process.

Some arrested or booked individuals may not appear in the locator because of exemptions under Government Code section 6254(f). If a name is missing, contact the local jurisdiction for information.

Corrections Division and jail facilities

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division operates the Maguire Correctional Facility and the Maple Street Correctional Center. It also operates the Alternative Sentencing Bureau, including the Sheriff's Work Program, Electronic Monitoring, and Work Furlough programs.

Maguire Correctional Facility primarily houses male inmates and serves pretrial and court-sentenced inmates. Maple Street Correctional Center houses male and female inmates and includes dedicated men's and women's transitional housing.

The Alternative Sentencing Bureau handles court-recommended alternatives such as the Sheriff's Work Program, Electronic Monitoring Program, and Work Furlough Program. Applicants recommended by the court are instructed to call at least five days after the recommendation to schedule an appointment.

Mail, money, commissary, and family support

Personal inmate mail must be addressed through Smart Communication-San Mateo County Jail and must include the inmate name and ID number. Senders must include their own name and return address, and envelopes may not be decorated.

Commercial publications must come directly from the publisher. Publications for inmates at Maguire Correctional Facility and Maple Street Correctional Center are addressed to the facility where the inmate is housed.

For commissary, the Sheriff's Office works with Keefe Commissary. Money deposits and package orders are available through the listed services, and both jail facilities have lobby kiosks for posting money to an inmate account. Purchasing items for inmates is limited to one per month and may not exceed $100.00.

Visitation information

Visitation information is facility-specific. Maple Street Correctional Center and Maguire Correctional Facility each provide their own visiting schedule and rules through the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
