The Sheriff’s Office roster separates people currently in custody from people released within the recent release window. Use the current roster first when you need to check whether someone is listed as being held at the Detention Center.

Current inmate listings

Current listings may show the person’s name, booking number, age, booking date, charge information, bond amount, and a profile link. The roster can be sorted newest to oldest or oldest to newest by booking time.

Check the profile before relying on a summary row. A listing can include multiple charges, court orders, failure-to-appear entries, or “No Bond” status.

Recent releases

For people who are no longer listed as current inmates, use the release roster. The Sheriff’s Office identifies this view as a 48 hour release list for people released from the Detention Center within the last 48 hours.

You can check recent inmate releases sorted by release time. Release listings may include the release date, booking date, charge information, bond amount, and profile link.

Roster accuracy and limits

The Sheriff’s Office provides roster information for public convenience, but it does not certify the accuracy or authenticity of the information. Do not rely on the online roster as the only source for a legal, custody, bond, or court decision.

Jail and detention center context

The Corrections Division is responsible for housing incarcerated persons who are awaiting trial, awaiting transfer to the Alabama Department of Corrections, or serving sentences of less than one year.

Money orders may be left in the drop box outside the Detention Center doors or mailed in. The money order must include the inmate’s name, inmate number, and the depositor’s name and return address.
